Best Beginner House Plants

  • Spider Plant 
    • Spider plants are considered one of the most adaptable houseplants. They can survive in a variety of locations and they have very few problems. One common issue is brown tips! When you get a spider plant, give them well-drained soil and sunlight. This will help them be at their best! Also, do not give them too much water because they like to dry out some in-between waterings.
  • Dracaena Plant 
    • Dracaena are tree-like plants with long woody stems and big leaves that can be green, yellow and green, or tri-colored. There are many varieties of Dracaena that are well maintained inside a home. The D. draco and D. marginata tolerate a wide variety of indoor conditions. These plants do well if they are regularly watered in the summer and nearly dry in the winter.
  • Succulents/Cacti 
    • These plants are probably the most popular of the bunch. They are desert plants with thick, fleshy leaves. Also, some of them have spines, and some do not. In order to keep your succulents alive, they need to be in direct sunlight. Also, they do best with the soak and dry method. This means you need to Soak the soil completely then let the soil dry out completely before watering again. Finally,  make sure the succulents are in well-draining soil in a pot with a drainage hole.
  • Lucky Bamboo 
    • Lucky bamboo is a Feung Shui staple that people have loved to have in their house for years! This plant is a symbol of luck and prosperity making it a great gift and the perfect house plant. These plants need moderate sunlight and are kept slightly damp.
